New Kent Christian Center
is an ASSEMBLIES of GOD church.

We strive to live by these beliefs…

This Statement of Fundamental Truths contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these, Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church’s core mission of reaching the world for Christ.
The New Testament Book of Galatians shows that the purpose of justification by faith is to produce a lifestyle energized by the Spirit and characterized by the Spirit’s fruit. Thus the gifts of the Spirit must be accompanied by the fruit if we are to please God. Galatians 5:22–23 gives a list of the fruit. Peter gives us another list showing that the fruit grows as we exercise faith (2 Peter 1:5–9).

OUR MISSION

MATTHEW 22:3640 NIV

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 is is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

MATTHEW 28:1820 NIV

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
